How do I access and read ebooks from Evergreen Valley College Library?

You can access and read eBooks from the Evergreen Valley College (EVC) Library using the library’s catalog or eBook collections such as EBSCO eBooks. The process is straightforward and available to all current students with an EVC email account.
How to Access EVC eBooks

Go to the EVC Library website at https://www.evc.edu/library.

In the search bar labeled Search Resources, enter a keyword, author, or title and select Books & eBooks to limit your search.

To search specifically within eBook databases:

Select Databases from the library homepage.

Choose EBSCO eBook Collection from the list. This houses the college’s main eBook system.

Sign in using your EVC student email (yourname@stu.evc.edu) and your Canvas/Self-Service password for off-campus access.
Reading and Downloading eBooks

Once logged in and you have found a title, click PDF Full Text or EPUB Full Text to read the eBook online in your browser.

Many books can also be downloaded for offline reading using EBSCO’s eBook app or Adobe Digital Editions.

eBooks can be searched by subject area (for example, literature, nursing, or psychology) through the A–Z Databases portal by selecting eBooks in the subject filter.
