How do I access EVC databases?

Answer

Evergreen Valley College (EVC) students can access the library’s databases both on and off campus through the official EVC Library website.

On-Campus Access

  • Go to the library homepage at evc.edu/library.

  • Select “A–Z Databases” or go directly to the database list at libguides.evc.edu/az/databases.

  • You can freely access any database on campus (ProQuest, EBSCO, JSTOR, Films on Demand, Gale, etc.) without login credentials when using campus Wi-Fi or library computers.

Off-Campus Access

  • Choose a database from the A–Z list and click its link.

  • When prompted, log in using your EVC-issued student email (your MyWebID@stu.evc.edu) and the same password you use for Canvas or Self Service.

  • This login process uses EVC’s Single Sign-On system.

  • If you have not activated your EVC email, or have forgotten your password, click on “Unlock/Reset Password” at the login page or contact the SJECCD ITSS Help Desk at 408‑270‑6411 or itss.helpdesk@sjeccd.edu.
